Calculating the number of ecobricks and other materials you will need for your project is a crucial step to avoid unnecessary costs and ensure that everything is ready before construction begins. Here is a simple method for doing so.
First, measure the total area you plan to build, whether it's a wall or a complete structure. Multiply the width by the height to get the square meters.
Check the exact dimensions of the ecobricks you will be using. We offer two brick models for construction.
Divide the total area (in square meters) by the area covered by one brick. This will give you the approximate number of bricks you will need.
It is recommended to add an extra 10% to your initial calculation to account for possible mistakes, cuts, and adjustments during construction.
Finally, calculate the amount of adhesive or mortar you will need. Generally, each brick requires a small amount for the joints, but this will depend on the type of construction you are doing.
Depending on the type of project, you may need other materials such as reinforcements, tools, or finishing elements. Be sure to include everything in your initial calculation.
